  • Staff analyst for two initiatives, including Intranet and PCAOB's public website.
  • Developed and delivered to senior management an assessment of PCAOB's web-delivered information for compliance with Section 508.
  • Led team efforts to specify search and web content management requirements, selecting final vendors (Ektron CMS 400.net and Microsoft SharePoint).
  • Consulted with IT and Board on various SDLC initiatives.
  • Analyzed business needs and developed content management requirements for all PCAOB Documentum applications. Special emphasis on needs of inspections auditing division.

  • Achieved goal of 99% availability based on unplanned outages.
  • Worked with Biogen's IT and business thought-leaders to develop a knowledge management strategy.
  • Member of Biogen's SDLC development team.Delivered a standard IT development methodology. Developed and delivered supporting tools, a communications plan and training materials.
  • Developed proof of concept and project plans for QUMAS-based repository of SDLC project materials.
  • Developed prototype taxonomy using XML authoring tools.
  • Developed a knowledge management strategy, including KM presentations and supporting materials to engage Biogen stakeholders in KM strategies. Served on core teams defining enterprise search and collaboration requirements.

Managed rollout of BroadVision's Content Management System, coordinating consultant resources both on and offsite. Developed and implemented data migration plan to transform financial advisory products from legacy HTML to XML. Developed and delivered:

  • Performed business process and document content analysis. Developed content management business requirements. Selected content management vendor. Managed vendor consulting.
  • Developed and implemented test plans for system implementation.
  • Developed and implemented XHTML-XML conversion strategy; developed XML content DTDs.
  • Developed and delivered multimedia XML training to editorial and IT staff, delivered via Intranet that I developed and maintained.
  • Wrote all internal and customer training, product technical documentation and HELP. Internal documentation includes XML dictionary and API documentation.

Applying business analysis, project management and technical communications skills

Managed enterprise Document Information Systems Program Plan to maximize FM-Global's business advantage from its document and information warehouse assets. Program Plan identified and selected document standards, technologies and tools, then developed projects and delivered strategic benefits. Achievements:

  • Developed project plans, training, support strategies, and test plans for rollout of Impromptu Web Reporting to 1,200 field personnel. Designed and delivered web-based training and support, including multimedia web tutorials using Macromedia Flash. Integrated these seamlessly with FM Global's Intranet.
  • Developed a project plan to upgrade strategic publishing processes and content to single-source multi-channel XML system. Designed XML DTD, created XML document collection for Enigma subsystems proof-of-concept.
  • Introduced CD publishing technologies and tools to transform key document to fully searchable Acrobat files on CD-ROM.
  • Managed project to achieve distribution and production savings exceeding $200,000 annually. Developed and deployed multimedia tutorial to assure rapid learning and use; 95% satisfaction rate.
  • Developed document security strategy and managed customization project to achieve secure use of FM strategic documents on CD-ROM
  • Consulted with cross-organizational team selecting Documentum as enterprise document management system, for 500,000 CAD drawings and Loss Prevention Reports. Developed multimedia web-delivered training for 1,300 users.
  • Selected and managed project to acquire imaging, OCR and content-based retrieval technologies. Implemented enterprise-wide content-based retrieval system. Loss Prevention information library yielded $95,000 annual savings from faster, more accurate searches, and elimination of filing by 1,200 field engineers.
